The 5 Things Needed When Choosing a Home Business
ByI have been involved in many different endeavors and opportunities in my 22 years of businesses ventures and I have seen my share of products and companies that come and go, just like the offline retail world. Businesses close down or products are high and mighty for a year or two, and then they fade away because of the newness wears out, market saturation or it is just not a useful product and nobody wants it anymore.
- You need a product that gives people real value, even if they don’t build the business.
- You need something that is easy enough to explain for a brand new rep to have success.
- You need a compensation plan that has massive upfront cash flow that’s not dependent on your own production.
- You need to have a “blended style” of offline and online marketing tactics that can help you get into PROFIT.
- You need a team and leaders that have the skills to help you make money quickly.
A lot of people collect something. I used to collect football and baseball cards, old beer cans, record albums and newspapers of world changing events. Now I collect something that I absolutely need! What do you collect?
I have many friends that are in network marketing and have home businesses and they either collect jewelry, vitamins, healthy juices and vitamins and they have a nice big storage closet full to display all this stuff. I remember in my childhood, one of my friends parents were involved with a very big mlm company and I would go to his house and in his basement, they had blocked off a section that looked like a mini convenient store full of everyday products from soap, laundry detergent, vitamins etc. This was their mlm auto ship that had built up over several months and they were not selling or recruiting anyone, but were not collecting and using it for themselves. Some of their products had a shelf life and it would expire and end up in a trash bin! Pretty expensive hobby!
Now, I am not saying that the products are not great, because most of them are. But if you are looking into a new venture and doing your due diligence investigating a company and product that you feel great representing, you need to make sure that you love it and want plenty of it if you have months where you are not producing and generating profit.
My best advice is to choose wisely when starting out. This industry can make you plenty of money, help you achieve more time and lifelong experiences with your family and friends than any other profession in a shorter time, and you wont have tens of thousands of dollars in student loans to repay, but, you need to get the education and right organization, with the right industry leaders that have the experience and influence to get you where you want to be in the shortest time possible. If you’d like to get a behind the scenes tour of some different company models, products, organizations, pay plans and training, I am here for you. Make wise choices early and you will have planted a seed of success that will firmly root and grow to produce abundantly!
